01Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Quanta Educational Center (“Quanta”, “we”, “us”) and govern your access to and use of quantaonline.net, our applications, and the tutoring and course services we provide (together, the “Platform”).
By creating an account, booking a session, purchasing a course, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Our offices
03What we provide
Quanta sells educational services delivered entirely online. There are no physical goods and nothing is shipped. Our offering consists of:
- Live one-to-one tutoring — scheduled video sessions with a verified subject tutor, typically 60 or 90 minutes, booked individually or as a discounted package.
- Recorded courses — structured video lessons, notes, worksheets and quizzes that you work through at your own pace.
- Progress tracking and reporting — attendance, completion and assessment records visible to the student and to the parent on the account.
Subjects cover the IGCSE, IB Diploma, IB MYP, SAT, AP, A-Level, AS-Level and Cambridge curricula. Teaching is delivered in English or Arabic as stated on each tutor’s profile.
04Who may use Quanta
You may use the Platform if you can form a binding contract with us and are not barred from doing so under any applicable law.
Students under 18
Many of our students are minors. If you are under 18, you may only use the Platform with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must be the account holder and who accepts these Terms on your behalf. The parent or guardian is responsible for supervising the account, for all bookings made through it, and for all charges incurred.
We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we hold an account for a child under 13 without that consent, we will close it and delete the associated data.
Tutors
Tutors must be at least 18 years old, must hold the qualifications and right-to-work status they claim, and must complete our verification process before teaching. Tutors engage with students as independent contractors, not as employees of Quanta.
05Your account
You must give accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- Keep your password confidential and do not share your login with anyone else.
- One person, one account. Accounts may not be sold, transferred, or shared between multiple students so that several people attend on a single booking.
- Tell us immediately at support@quantaonline.net if you suspect unauthorised access.
- We may require identity or age verification, and may suspend an account while a verification or safeguarding review is under way.
06Booking and attending sessions
A booking is confirmed once payment or wallet credit has been applied and the tutor has accepted the slot. Session times are shown in your local time zone based on your device or profile settings — please check the time zone before confirming.
Attendance
- Join on time. If a student is more than 15 minutes late without notice, the tutor may end the session and it will be treated as attended and charged in full.
- If a tutor fails to attend, or ends a session early without good reason, you are entitled to a full refund of that session to your wallet or original payment method.
- You are responsible for your own equipment and internet connection. Where a session is materially disrupted by a failure of our platform, contact support and we will re-credit or reschedule it.
Conduct during sessions
Sessions must be used for tuition. Students, parents and tutors must behave respectfully and must not harass, intimidate, discriminate against, or make unwanted personal advances toward anyone on the Platform. We take safeguarding seriously and will act on reports, including by removing accounts and, where appropriate, notifying the relevant authorities.
07Pricing, payments and wallet credit
Every price is displayed with its currency symbol and code on the product page and again on the checkout screen, before you are asked to confirm. Nothing is charged until you confirm. Tutors set their own rates within the bands we permit; course prices are set by the publishing instructor.
Currencies and taxes
We settle in USD · EGP. Your currency is selected at checkout; if your card is denominated in another currency, your bank may apply its own conversion rate and a foreign-transaction fee that we neither set nor receive. Prices include any sales tax or VAT we are required to collect, which is itemised on your receipt.
Payment methods and processing
- We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit and debit cards, PayPal, and the local payment methods shown at checkout in your region.
- Card payments are processed by our PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment providers. Quanta never sees, transmits or stores your full card number, expiry date or security code — those details go directly to the processor. We retain only the card brand, last four digits and an opaque token so you can recognise a saved method.
- Card details are collected over TLS-encrypted connections, and transactions are subject to 3-D Secure / Strong Customer Authentication where your issuer requires it.
- Charges appear on your statement as QUANTA EDU. If you do not recognise a charge, email billing@quantaonline.net before contacting your bank — we can usually identify and resolve it same-day.
- A tax-compliant receipt is emailed for every successful payment and is available at any time from your billing history.
Recurring payments
Where you choose a subscription or a recurring tutoring package, you authorise us to charge your saved payment method on each renewal date at the price disclosed when you subscribed. We email a reminder before each renewal. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings, effective at the end of the current billing period, and cancellation takes no more than a few clicks — we never require you to call or email to stop a subscription.
Wallet
Your Quanta wallet holds credit that you have topped up or that we have issued as a refund or goodwill gesture. Wallet credit:
- can be spent on any session, package or course on the Platform;
- is not legal tender, earns no interest, and is not a deposit or bank account;
- is non-transferable between accounts, and promotional credit we grant free of charge may carry an expiry date shown at the time of issue;
- remains refundable to your original payment method, to the extent it represents money you actually paid us and has not been spent.
Coupons and discounts
Coupons are subject to the conditions attached to them — validity window, minimum spend, usage limits per account, and the courses or tutors they apply to. One coupon per transaction unless stated otherwise. We may void a coupon and reverse the discount where it has been obtained or used fraudulently, in bulk, or in breach of its stated conditions.
Failed and disputed payments
If a payment is reversed, charged back, or fails after a service has been delivered, we may suspend the account and recover the outstanding amount, including reasonable costs of recovery. Please contact us before raising a chargeback — most disputes are resolved faster directly.
08How and when your purchase is delivered
All services are delivered electronically through your Quanta account. No physical item is dispatched, so no shipping charge, customs duty or delivery address applies.
| Recorded course | Access is granted immediately on successful payment — normally within seconds, and in all cases within 1 hour. The course appears under "My Learning" in your dashboard. |
| Wallet top-up | Credit is added to your balance immediately on successful payment. |
| One-to-one session | The booking is confirmed immediately and the session is delivered at the scheduled date and time you selected. A join link and calendar invitation are emailed on confirmation and again 24 hours beforehand. |
| Tutoring package | Session credits are added immediately and can be scheduled at any time before the expiry date shown at purchase. |
If a purchase has not appeared in your account within one hour, email support@quantaonline.net with your order reference. If we cannot deliver, we refund in full.
09Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
One-to-one sessions
- 24 hours or more before the start time: cancel or reschedule free of charge; any payment returns to your wallet in full.
- Less than 24 hours before the start time, or non-attendance: the session is charged in full, as the tutor has reserved that time.
- Cancellations by the tutor are always refunded in full, and we will help you rebook with another tutor where possible.
Recorded courses
You may request a refund for a recorded course within 14 days of purchase provided you have completed no more than 25% of its lessons and have not downloaded its materials. After that point the purchase is final, save for your non-excludable statutory rights.
How to request a refund
Cancel from the booking screen in your dashboard, or email billing@quantaonline.net with your order reference. We acknowledge every request within 2 business days and decide it within 5 business days.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are issued to your Quanta wallet by default, or to the original payment method on request — we cannot refund to a different card or account. Once approved, we submit the refund within 5 business days; card refunds then take a further 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank. Refunds are made in the currency of the original transaction, so an exchange-rate movement between purchase and refund may change the amount you receive in your own currency.
10Session recordings
Live sessions may be recorded where the feature is enabled, so that students can revise afterwards and so that we can investigate safeguarding or quality concerns. Everyone in a session is notified before recording starts.
- Recordings are made available to the participants of that session and to the account holder (for example, a parent) through the Platform.
- You may not download, re-record, publish, sell, or share a recording outside the Platform without the written consent of every participant.
- Recordings are retained for a limited period and then deleted. You can ask us to delete a recording of a session you took part in — see the Privacy Policy.
11Content and intellectual property
Our content and licensed courses
Course videos, documents, worksheets, question banks and other materials on the Platform belong to Quanta or to the instructor who published them. On purchase you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access that material for your own study for as long as your access lasts. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, publicly perform, or use it to train a machine-learning model.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of the work, messages, questions and reviews you upload. By uploading, you grant Quanta a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content solely to operate and improve the Platform. Instructors additionally grant us the right to deliver their published courses to enrolled students and to market them.
Reviews
Reviews must reflect genuine experience. We remove reviews that are fake, incentivised, defamatory, or that disclose personal information about a tutor or student.
Copyright complaints
If you believe material on the Platform infringes your copyright, email legal@quantaonline.net identifying the work, its location on the Platform, and your contact details. We remove infringing material promptly and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
12Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Platform for anything unlawful, or to harass, endanger, or exploit another person — especially a minor;
- submit work produced by a tutor as your own where the rules of your school or examination board prohibit it, or use Quanta to complete assessed work on your behalf;
- scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code, course libraries, or tutor data from the Platform;
- probe or interfere with the security of the Platform, upload malware, or attempt to access another account;
- impersonate anyone, misstate your qualifications, or create accounts to evade a suspension;
- resell or commercially exploit access to the Platform.
13Keeping arrangements on the Platform
Bookings and payments arranged through Quanta must stay on Quanta. Students and tutors agree not to take an introduction made on the Platform off-platform in order to avoid our fees, for 12 months after their last session together.
This is not just a commercial matter: off-platform arrangements lose the safeguarding, recording, dispute-resolution and payment protection that the Platform provides. Accounts that solicit off-platform payment may be suspended.
14Fraud prevention and sanctions
We screen transactions for fraud and may decline, delay or reverse a payment, or ask for identity verification, where a transaction looks high-risk. This protects cardholders as much as it protects us.
- You confirm you are authorised to use the payment method you present and that the funds are lawfully yours.
- You may not use the Platform to test stolen card numbers, to launder funds, or to move value between accounts.
- You may not use the Platform if you, or the party paying, are subject to sanctions administered by the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the United States, or are located in a comprehensively sanctioned territory. We block transactions from those jurisdictions.
15Third-party services
The Platform relies on third parties for video delivery, payment processing, email and analytics, and may link to external sites. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of those services, and we are not responsible for their content or availability. The processors we rely on are listed in our Privacy Policy.
16Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing an account does not automatically refund unused purchases; see the refund rules above.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or where continued access poses a risk to other users — in particular where a safeguarding concern arises. Where practical and lawful we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. On termination we will pay out any refundable wallet balance you are entitled to.
17Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is”. While we work hard to keep it available and accurate, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular content is complete or current.
We do not guarantee academic outcomes. Grades, examination results and admissions decisions depend on many factors outside our control. Nothing on the Platform — including tutor profiles, score statistics, or marketing material — is a promise of a particular result.
Tutors are independent. We verify credentials and monitor quality, but we do not control how an individual session is taught and are not liable for the acts or omissions of a tutor beyond what these Terms provide.
18Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quanta is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or educational opportunity.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the exclusions apply only so far as that law permits.
19Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Quanta against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your infringement of someone else’s rights. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own breach.
20Changes to the Platform and these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Platform develops or as the law changes. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in-product notice before they take effect, and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the Platform after that date means you accept the revised Terms; if you do not, you may close your account and request a refund of any unused, refundable balance.
21Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the competent courts of Doha, Qatar have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protection and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at legal@quantaonline.net. Most disputes are resolved informally within a few weeks.
22General terms
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between us regarding the Platform.
- If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the provision is applied as far as it lawfully can be.
- A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
- You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours as part of a reorganisation or sale of the business, on notice to you.
- These Terms are published in English and Arabic. Where the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
